teens and social responsibilities .

rude behavior towards adults, postings of malicious gossip, mean-spirit, threatening texts, and other shameful aggression in teens is all you see in todays society. it often left unclear to adults and younger kids. by popular belief, parents always thinks of there child as “a good teen” and treats other people well. but they dont monitor there children like there suppose to as they get older. more teens are drinking and driving, smoking, skipping school, having sex and dressing inaproprietly. its this one boy who goes here at stephenson who has a shirt that actually reads "5 dollar foot long" with an arrow pointing "down there". yea, he may be one of the tallest guys in the school, but i highly doubt its a "foot long". these teens just need disipline from there parents. growing up with a Haitian mom, i didnt have any privledges that i see today, i honestly think teens with American parents got it good. talking to other teens with parents from different countries didnt have much good privledges either. all this pants sagging, inapropriate clothes, tattoos, staying out late to go clubbing wouldnt be accepted in other cultue. sagging isnt cute. so you think you cool cause you sag like everyone else? I think its a message for "easy access". teens shouldnt be worried about looking cool for other people and hateration, we should be concerned about graduation!

April fools.??

so, as we all know, april fools day was yesterday. now normally, this is just some small holiday that only jokers like. this april fools day was pretty interesting in my 3rd block. Ms hollis' class that is. we planned it all week, and the whole class was in on it. a girl in the class who always get called out by ms hollisnwas going to go off on her as an april fools joke. after lunch we got back to the class and ms hollis called her out, telling her she was loud. they had a petty argument and all of a sudden she flipped her desk over and started going off. i was mad that i missed it and was looking down at my phone. :/ the second one was when a girl yelled she was pregnant out loud and ms hollis believed her. then everyone started singing "slob on my knob" song out loud making beats really loud. so many pranks they've done on her. like last week when we hid her huge chair and she spent the rest of the block looking for it, so we didnt do any work. it sucks because, she gives us so many nice priveldges. giving us free cookies, letting us eat in there, and having bathroom breaks everyday. but now thats all out the window. i cant wait to get out of this school with people who acts like that. less then 2 months left! woop woop.!

how rude howard stern.!

so, i resently found about howard stern's cruel remarks about precious star gabourey sidibe. it wasnt too nice. "there's the most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen. she is enormous. everyone's pretending she's a part of show business and she's never going to be in another movie. she should have gotten the best actress award because she's never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?" he said. unfortunetly, i still havent seen precious yet. but it is a movie that i think will catch my eye. so right now, i dont know how good of an actor she is. but if she was nominated, i think she must have been doing something right. he then started calling oprah a liar. saying she lied to Gabourey when she said she was going to have an acting career. i dont think there should be a weight limit for hollywood. i feel like if you have great acting talent, you should be welcome. he shouldnt make comments like that, because he doesnt know what shes going through. im not saying she is 100 percent fine the way she is. her weight is scary, and unhealthy. i do feel that her weight might be a problem depending on what type of roles in movies she wants to play. people will get tired of the same ol same ol. his rude behavior is definetly loosing popularity points. how many movies and TV shows has he been asked to be in?I would never want to listen to his extremely negative opinions as I started my day out. Ignorant is as ignorant speaks.

Tyra Show will be leaving .

So, as the tyra banks show starts coming to an end,the more im really bummed out about it. :( as soon as i got excited and use to the change in the time schedule and channel change for the show, (usually it aired at 1 while i was in school, but now its 3 and 4) its now being cancelled. Tyra said she wants "to take more exciting steps in my life," including an expansion into feature film production.
even oprah is leaving in 2011. so.. what talk show am i suppose to watch when i come home.!? Dr.OZ is all that i have left. and that show already scraes me with its gruesome topics. i loved the Tyra Show because it seemed like she really cared about the issues being presented and the people on the show. she knew when to be humorous and serious when the time called for it. i always said i would attend the tyra banks oprah show in a year or two. but i cant do that now can i.! both shows are going off air. smh. .

Why cant i get up in the morning.?

no matter what time i go to sleep at night, whether its at 8 or even 7, i can never get up at the time i plan on it. i set my alarm at 5:47 everyday and always end up waking up around 6:44 an hour later. This gives me no time to do what i want, cant eat breakfast or take the time out to do my hair, nothing. everything is rushed. when my alarm sounds, i end up saying 5 more minutes.. which ends up being 25 minutes, then an extra 25 minutes and another 25 minutes. ive even googled "how can i wake up on time for school" because i was so desperate.! lol i feel like my bed is more comfortable when i have school to attend. my bed possesive and doesnt want me leaving. in the mornings, i try talking to myself to wake up. it works sometimes :D but only 3 more months to go.. any tips.?

" How do you 'classify' ".?

the different cliques and possees are fresh in everyones mind. These categories have been exposed in films such as Mean Girls and American Pie. Classifying yourself into a "clique" is definetly something that goes on at Stephenson High School. I never thought this actually existed in real life, i honestly thought it only happened in movies lol. But I see it everyday. Like at lunch they really do sit amoung the class they fit in. The Cheerleaders sit together at one table, Band dorks at another, and the cocky attractive football players on one end. Theres also the Nerds, gansters, emo, and the rockers who are protrayed as the ones who you can find with Heavy metal and scream music found on their iPods. Then theres me, the girl next door. People actually classify me as a "undercover freak" because im quite, which they say is one of the first signs. I laugh. I actually dont see where i fit in with this whole "stereotype" ordeal. People who label others with high school stereotypes are ignorant and do not understand the concept of individuality. There are actual tests to see where you fit in, like it matters. smh . . But i dont really think everyone just sits there and places people in "categories", i think it just happens and it"ll never end. Its not only happening in just schools. theres Racial and ethnic stereotyping and Sexual Orientation stereotyping with LGBT people. but who can forget about black stereotyping. Stereotypes can have a negative and positive impact on individuals. And unfortunetly, everyone is a victim in this. .

Why Women Cheat.

Most people think men are the main ones cheating, but guess again. Women do it almost as much. For men and women to cheat there has to be a problem in the relationship. Perhaps there is no real commitment. Communication sometimes stops in a relationship and if you and your partner are not communicating the gap gets wider and wider. If there is a lack of interest in each other's daily life, it allows other people to come into their lives with temptations. Sometimes interest begins as simple as the new person actually listens to them or this person understands them. According to the current infidelity statistics 60% of men and 40% of women are involved in an affair. This may come as a complete surprise, but most extramarital affairs are not about sex. Once there is a problem in the relationship bad decisions can occur. i think one reason why women cheat is beacuse theres not enough sex in the relationship. Women want to feel wanted. If you’re not making her feel that way, she could seek it elsewhere. Keep the spark alive. Other reasons are for Revenge, Self-esteem problems, or even Bedroom boredom. To me, Cheating is such ugly business. It never ends well. no matter how it plays out somebody carries the baggage of what happened.

TEEN MARRiAGE.

Why are so many people against teen marriage? its simply because studies show that today, teenage marriages are two to three times more likely to end in divorce than are marriages between people 25 years of age and older. Thats about 66% and is a pretty high divorce rate. Even though way more than half of teen marriages doesnt last, some actually do. In the United States, half of teen marriages will dissolve within fifteen years of the marriage. To me, i think most teens will marry for all the wrong reasons. Of course the teens think that their reasons are all well validated. Pregnancy is a top contender when it comes to why a teen would get married. The teen pregnancy rate is very high in this country. It is estimated that in the United States of America there are 1.3 million babies born out-of-wedlock each year. Another reason i think a teen would consider marriage is to get out of their parents home. they may feel that their parents expect too much from them. Maybe they feel like they have too many responsibilities and they tire of having to answer for them. Maybe the teens hate their jobs and school. Well these just aren't good reasons to get married. Teen marriages take a lot of work to maintain. I suggest if you know someone who is trying to get married at a young age, you tell them to wait till there 20's. Maybe it'll last longer. .

Divorce.

Divorce is the final termination of a marriage. Something every couple tries to avoid. But did you know that some countries like the Phillipines dont permit divorce? Though they allow annulments. alot of people may wonder, what is the top reason marriages lead to divorce? Almost 50 to 60% of marriages will end up in divorce. Why? The number one reason is money. Some believe money makes the world go around. But also think its the root to all evil. Some other reaons may include infedelity, lack of communiction, addictions and sexual problems, just to name a few. To make sure your marriage doesnt end up with divorce papers sitting before you, you have to continue to work at it. Dont take anything about the situation for granted. Also, money. Work at your budget together. Children as well as the parents have stress and confusion about the whole thing. They may feel sad, angry, and even lonely. Children may also feel that a little concerned about how there life will be afterwards. Its the parents job to reassure them and confort them into letting them know that they will always be loved and taking care of.
